A driver will be waiting for you at arrivals and will bring you directly to your cozy hotel in the historic center of Bogotá. Depending on your arrival time, you will have some free time to calmly acclimatize, get used to the altitude, and relax.

After breakfast, you will be taken to La Candelaria, the charming colonial old town of Bogotá. At 10:30, you will start the famous Bogota Bike Tour and discover some of the most amazing things this city has to offer.
You won’t only visit the most touristic spots but will also be introduced to a coffee factory, a local fruit market where you will try some exotic fruits, and a tejo place where you will learn more about the “national sport” of Colombia. (click here for more info about this tour.)
After the tour we advise you to pay a visit to the two most iconic museums of Bogotá: the Gold Museum and the Botero Museum.
The Gold Museum is not only for its impressive collection of golden artifacts but also to try some ajiaco, the typical potato soup from Bogotá, in their restaurant.

After a delicious breakfast, it will be time to set course to the famous coffee zone of Colombia.
You will be picked up by a driver at your accommodation, and he will bring you to the airport to catch your flight to Pereira. Another driver will await you in Pereira airport and transport you to your beautiful hotel in the heart of the coffee zone.
Reverie Lodge is surrounded by lush gardens and the rolling green landscapes that make Colombia’s coffee region so unique. From everywhere, including your cabin, you can take in wide views over the mountains and their plantations, while the different viewpoints around the property invite you to slow down and connect with nature.

Right after your arrival you can already start enjoying the colorful exotic flowers and the many birds that find their home here, as well as a hidden waterfall and access to the river.
In the afternoon it will be time to discover Colombia’s alternative gold: coffee! You will take part in a coffee tour on the plantations of the hotel.
Like this, you will get to know the process, from seed to end product, to get to a coffee as delicious as the Colombian one. And, of course, you will be given the chance to try out different coffees from the region.

In the morning you will leave your beautiful hacienda to pay a visit to the Cocora Valley with a guide. You will make an amazingly beautiful walk in the valley that is dotted with large palm trees. These peculiar trees are the national tree of Colombia, the Quindio wax palm tree, and they can get as high as 60 meters.
Afterwards, you will visit Salento, a colonial town nested at the feet of the Cocora Valley, where you will have the opportunity to walk around and take pictures of the cute colorful houses.
You will finish your tour with a visit to Filandia, a local coffee village that is famous for its beautiful local arts and crafts. Around 17:00 you will be back at the hotel to enjoy the last sunshine of the day.

In the morning you will have time to relax and enjoy the gorgeous garden with swimming pool and Jacuzzi, or the impressive green surroundings of the hotel.
In the afternoon we have arranged for you to be picked up by private transport that will bring you to the stunning hot springs of Santa Rosa de Cabal, that are located at a more or less 1 hour drive uphill from the hotel.
The hot springs are positioned on a mountain, which results in spectacular views over the valleys. Most visitors spend about 3 hours in the thermal baths before heading back to the hotel.

In the morning, you will be brought to the airport to take a flight to Santa Marta.
From the airport of Santa Marta, you will be transported to a beautiful hotel that is located near the entrance of Tayrona National Park. The hotel has direct access to a gorgeous beach, an outdoor pool, and a great restaurant.
After you installed yourself it is time to enjoy the sea, the swimming pool, and all facilities that your beach hotel has to offer.

Today could be the perfect day to visit Tayrona National Park. The hotel can arrange for you to be brought to the entrance of the park so you spend the day discovering the beautiful beaches and jungle walk at your own pace.
However, it is also perfectly possible to spend your day on the pristine beach in front of the hotel and to use the facilities of the place.
The hotel can also help you with explaining and leading you to two gorgeous walks in the surroundings.

The morning of Day 8 can be spent peacefully on the beach, by the swimming pool, or in the Caribbean Sea. In the afternoon we have arranged for you to be brought by a driver to Cartagena.
This is a drive of about 4 hours near the coastline and through little villages, so don’t forget to let your eyes feast on the beauty surrounding you.
By the early evening, you will be dropped off at your hotel in the historical center of Cartagena.
The location of your accommodation is ideal, and you will be close to the restaurants and the main touristic sights of this colonial city.

Today it is time to discover Cartagena. In the morning, you will take a tour of the Bazurto Market, or “the People’s Market” of Cartagena.
This special place is very animated and full of colors, interesting food, smells, and energies of the many vendors who sell their products at this market. You will get a real impression of the typical warmth of the people living on Colombia’s coast.
It might feel a bit unorganized at the beginning, but it is the ultimate chance to see the real face of Cartagena and its people. This is a guided tour of 3,5 hours in English where you will be introduced to typical dishes, ingredients, fruits, and vegetables from the region.
You will have your afternoon free, so you can discover and enjoy the gorgeous colonial old town of Cartagena on your own.

The last days of your time at the Caribbean coast of Colombia should be celebrated in style. At 08:30 you are brought to the harbor of Cartagena to take a speedboat to Isla Grande.
This is one of the many beautiful islands of the Rosario islands that are located at one hour navigating from the coast of Cartagena.
If besides relaxing at the beach you feel like doing some activities, you can take a birdwatching tour, a diving course, a snorkel or kayaking trip, a massage, or a walk through the mangroves.

Today you can choose how to spend your day. You can relax on the beach and enjoy your Caribbean paradise or consult the hotel for tours and activities.

You will spend the morning and the afternoon calmly on the island. Your boat trip back to Cartagena is scheduled for 15:00, which means that around 16:00 you will be back in the harbor, and you will be transported to the hotel where you stayed the previous time.
The late afternoon and evening are free for you to keep discovering Cartagena.

We have a morning flight planned for you thus after breakfast you will be brought to the airport of Cartagena so you can take a flight back to Bogotá.
