Together with our local English-speaking guide who grew up here, you will learn about its rough history and what it took for the neighborhood to reinvent themselves as a lively and colorful community, where gorgeous street art and artists can show off, and where impressive urban innovation takes place.

You will meet your guide at your hotel and together you will go to the famous electric escalators that were built in 2011. This was another innovative project that changed the lives of the people living in the area as they no longer had to go everywhere by walking and climbing endless stairs. It opened up so many opportunities for many and changed the economics dynamic of the whole region.
