Day 1: Wednesday 12/Dic: Welcome to Colombia


Today start your Colombian adventure!


Our driver will await you at arrival´s and bring you to your hotel for you to get a rest from your long flight.  Depending on your arrival time, you might have some time to start discovering a little bit of Bogotá. Your hotel is located right in the heart of the colonial center (La Candelaria).


The airport has currency exchange offices and ATM´s so you can easily get Colombian pesos for your trip.

Day 2: Thursday 13/Dic: Discovering Bogotá


After breakfast, you will discover La Candelaria, the charming colonial old town of Bogotá. Your English-speaking guide will take you to discover the best places of this colourful area in a 3.5 hours-long walking tour. Along the walk, you will visit iconic places such as the Plaza Bolivar and Chorro de Quevedo. Your guide will give you explanations and facts about the history of Bogotá, as well as its current situation.


After this tour, you will have time to have lunch and discover the great Gold Museum on your own.

Day 3: Friday 14/Dic: Bogota Bike Tour + Free time


At 9:00 am, you will take a private version of the famous Bogota Bike Tour and discover some of the most amazing things this city has to offer. You won´t only visit the most touristic spots but will also be introduced to a coffee factory, a local fruit market where you will try some exotic fruits, and a tejo place where you will learn more about the “national sport” of Colombia. (click here for more info about this tour)


After the tour we advise you to pay a visit to one of the most iconic museums of Bogotá: the Botero Museum

Day 4: Saturday 15/Dic: Zipaquirá and Guatavita.


A visit to Bogotá is not complete without visiting the mysterious lake of Guatavita and the salt mines in Zipaquirá.


This tour gives you the opportunity to combine both of them in a full day trip.


First, after being picked up at your hotel by private transport, you will explore the sacred lake of Guatavita. This place is a holy place to the local indigenous population and legend has it that there is still gold buried deep down in the muddy bottom.


After looking for gold you will be brought to the Salt Cathedral in Zipaquira. It´s a drive of around 50 kilometers through beautiful mountainous landscapes. This place is a former salt mine and is home to the deepest cathedral in the world.

Day 5: Sunday 16/Dic: Transport to the Coffee Zone


Today you will go to the gorgeous coffee zone of Colombia. Our driver will pick you up at your hotel and take you to the airport of Bogotá so you can take your flight to the city of Pereira.


Upon arrival, you will be driven to the amazing hacienda of Finca del Café. This is a working coffee farm with great mountain views, a fantastic swimming pool and great facilities.


You will have some time in the afternoon to relax and enjoy the surroundings of this coffee hacienda.

Day 6: Monday 17/Dic: The Cocora Valley


In the morning you will leave your beautiful hacienda to pay a visit to the Cocora Valley with a guide. You will make an amazingly beautiful walk in the valley that is dotted with large palm trees. These peculiar trees are the national tree of Colombia, the Quindio Wax Palm tree, and they can get as high as 60 meters.


Afterwards you will visit Salento, a colonial town nested at the feet of the Cocora valley and where you will have the opportunity to walk around and take pictures of the cute colorful houses.


You will finish your tour with a visit to Filandia, a local coffee village that is famous for its beautiful local arts and crafts. Around 17:00 you will be back at the hotel to enjoy the last sunshine of the day.

Day 7: Tuesday 18/Dic: Hot springs and coffee tour.


In the morning, you will be taken to the beautiful hot springs of Santa Rosa de Cabal.  You will have 3 hours to relax and pamper yourselves in the hot springs surrounded by an amazing waterfall and green mountains.


In the afternoon, you will take a Coffee tour. Your English-speaking guide will take you through all the different steps in the process of making coffee. You will see the whole process, from the bean to the cup. The tour takes about 3 hours.

Day 8: Wednesday 19/Dic: Transport to Cartagena


You will be brought to the airport of Pereira to catch your flight to Cartagena. Upon arrival, you will be driven to your hotel in the middle of the old town of the beautiful and colonial Cartagena.


You will have some free time for you to start discovering this amazing city.

Day 9: Thrusday 20/Dic: Cartagena City Tour + Free Time


Cartagena is a beautiful city, that captures the heart of all its visitors because of its colors, Caribbean climate, warm people and its historical legacy. With our Cartagena city tour, we make sure you have the opportunity to discover the most amazing sites of the city, accompanied by an experienced tour guide in a short time. This tour starts by picking you up at your hotel to take you to La Popa monastery. In this place, you can view Cartagena entirely from a watchpoint and know the history of this monastery.


Afterward, we will drive to Castillo de San Felipe, a strong fort built on top of a mountain by the Spanish as a strategic point to gain control of the bay, where incredible battles were fought during many centuries. There we’ll have the opportunity to discover from the outside the impressive architecture and history behind this fort.


The Cartagena city tour continues with a nice walk through Historical Center where we will visit  Torre del Reloj, at Plaza de la Aduana, the place used for slave trade during the Colonial period. Then we will go to San Pedro Claver church, which was built in the second half of the 17th century, to finally visit Plaza de Bolivar.

Day 10: Friday 21/Dic: Mercado Bazurto + Free time Cartagena


The Bazurto Market has everything you could ever need, it is a traditional vegetable, fish, meat, fruit, clothing and even art market and it is as much a symbol of Cartagena as the formerly mentioned ones. This tour is only for adventurous souls that want to take a peek into the lives of the real inhabitants of Cartagena.


You will be amazed by the market’s complexity once you step into it and allow yourself to get lost in this adventurous labyrinth made out of multiple food stands. At every corner, you’ll have the opportunity to taste some food and drinks. If you want you can buy your ingredients here and afterward prepare a traditional Colombian meal or just enjoy the vibrant, magical, and colorful atmosphere of this place.


After we visit the herb market, the music market, and the arts and crafts section of the market, we will get to the market’s cafeteria where we will have lunch.
The market, just like everything else, is a place with many good things and others that aren’t as good, but taken as a whole, these things are what add up to the entire essence of the scene and make of it an unforgettable experience; it would truly be a shame to skip this amazing market. It may smell of freshly caught fish and the messy look of a hectic business, but it is, by no mistake, a buoyant and enchanting place. Bazurto market is a place where all that you´ll see is big smiles and people gladly willing to help you. Don’t miss this jewel and discover the real Cartagena!

Day 11:  Saturday 22/Dic: Free day Cartagena


Time to discover the pearl of the Caribbean! You will have the day to get to know the many faces of Cartagena. Learn about its history by getting lost in the streets and visiting the museums, try its delicious sea food in the many great restaurants, and take pictures of the colorful colonial buildings that never bore.

Days 12 to 15: Sunday 23 to Wednesday 26/Dic: Caribbean Paradise


At 08:30 on Sunday you are brought to the harbor of Cartagena to take a speedboat to Isla Grande. This is one of the many beautiful islands of the Rosario islands that are located at one hour navigating from the coast of Cartagena.


You will spend the following two days being pampered, relaxing, and enjoying yourself on Caribbean island. The hotel has its own private beach and comes with a restaurant.


If you feel like doing some activities then your hotel can always help you out with bird watching tours, diving courses, snorkel trips, kayaking, massages, or a walk through the mangroves.


The perfect place to spend christmas.

Day 16: Thursday 27/Dic: Caribbean paradise and Cartagena.


You will spend the morning and the afternoon calmly on the island. Your boat trip back to Cartagena is scheduled for 15:00 which means that around 16:00 you will be back  in the harbor and you will be transported to the hotel where you stayed the previous time.


The late afternoon and evening can be planned by you. Who knows, maybe you would like to go salsa dancing!

Day 17: Friday 28/Dic:  Free Time & End Of Trip


Depending on your departure time, you can still enjoy some time in Cartagena. 


A private driver will pick you up in your hotel and take you to the airport of Cartagena so you can catch you flight back home.


This means that the end of your trip has come. We are sure you are going to fly home with good memories of this magical country with its impressive lush nature, kind people, and beautiful beaches and mountains!
