A driver will be waiting for you at arrivals and will bring you directly to your cosy hotel in the historic center of Bogotá. Depending on your arrival time, you will have some free time to calmly acclimatize, get used to the altitude, and relax.

After breakfast, you will be taken to La Candelaria, the charming colonial old town of Bogotá. At 10:30, you will start the famous Bogota Bike Tour and discover some of the most amazing things this city has to offer.
You won’t only visit the most touristic spots but will also be introduced to a coffee factory, a local fruit market where you will try some exotic fruits, and a tejo place where you will learn more about the “national sport” of Colombia. (click here for more info about this tour)
After the tour we advise you to pay a visit to the two most iconic museums of Bogotá: The Gold Museum and the Botero Museum.
The gold museum not only for its impressive collection of golden artifacts, but also to try some ajiaco, the typical potato soup from Bogotá, in their restaurant.

After a delicious breakfast it will be time to set course to the famous coffee zone of Colombia. You will be picked up by a driver at your accommodation and he will bring you to the airport to catch your flight to Pereira.
Another driver will await you in Pereira airport and transport you to your beautiful hotel in the heart of the coffee zone.
Your hotel will be a traditional coffee hacienda and is surrounded by a gorgeous garden and an active coffee plantation. You will be able to enjoy an outdoor pool with Jacuzzi, and visit the different viewpoints over the plantations and the green mountains that are so characteristic for this region.
Right after your arrival you can already start taking in the beauty of the exotic flowers and birds that are richly present.

In the morning you will leave your beautiful hacienda to pay a visit to the Cocora Valley with a guide. You will make an amazingly beautiful walk in the valley that is dotted with large palm trees. These peculiar trees are the national tree of Colombia, the Quindio Wax Palm tree, and they can get as high as 60 meters.
Afterwards you will visit Salento, a colonial town nested at the feet of the Cocora valley and where you will have the opportunity to walk around and take pictures of the cute colorful houses.
You will finish your tour with a visit to Filandia, a local coffee village that is famous for its beautiful local arts and crafts. Around 17:00 you will be back at the hotel to enjoy the last sunshine of the day.

You will have this day available for some wonderful time in the Coffee Zone. You can opt to stay in the hotel and enjoy the lovely facilities of the hotel, or take a coffee tour in the plantations surrounding the place.
Colombia’s coffee zone is also a great place for some birdwatching! And, if you are looking for some real relaxing experience, then you could go check out the stunning hot springs of Santa Rosa de Cabal which are located on a mountain offering spectacular views over the region.

In the morning, you will be brought to the airport to take a flight to Santa Marta.
From the airport of Santa Marta you will be transported to a beautiful boutique hotel in the tropical jungle of the Sierra Nevada. This hotel is located in Minca, at 15 kilometers of Santa Marta. The flora and fauna of this region are magnificent and it is home to an unseen amount of birds and exotic plants.
The temperature is pleasant and the views over the Caribbean Sea, mountains and jungle are absolutely out of the ordinary.

Today you get the chance to get to know a local indigenous community: The Wiwa. For centuries, these indigenous people have been living in the mountains of the Sierra Nevada. They are easily recognized by their typical white and naturally made clothes, with accompanying hats for men.
They live in tribalism and still follow many ancient customs and rituals. This unique tour starts at 08:30 and will take a full day. (Note: lunch and local guide are included).
Enjoy nature, landscapes, panoramic view, authentic traditions and cultural interaction with the local inhabitants.

Today it is time to fully immerse yourself in the jungle of the Sierra Nevada mountains. You will have the day available to experience the beauty of this little mountain village and its gorgeous surroundings.
Minca and its surroundings are one of the best birdwatching spots in the world. In this region you can find an enormous amount of beautiful birds. Thanks to its location, some of the birds can only be found here because they are not able to fly over the mountains of the Sierra Nevada in the south nor fly over the Caribbean Sea in the north.
There is also a working coffee farm located in Minca, so you will have plenty of options to entertain yourself today.

Day 9 is a calm day on which you will be brought to your fantastic hotel that is located near the entrance of Tayrona National Park. The hotel has direct access to the beach and it has a gorgeous outdoor pool and restaurant.
After you installed yourself it is time to enjoy the sea, and all facilities that your beach hotel has to offer.

Today could be the perfect day to visit Tayrona National Park. The hotel can arrange for you to be brought to the entrance of the park so you spend the day discovering the beautiful beaches and jungle walk at your own pace.
However, it is also perfectly possible to spend your day on the pristine beach in front of the hotel and to use the facilities of the place.
The hotel can also help you with explaining and leading you to two gorgeous walks in the surroundings.

The morning of day 11 can be spend peacefully on the beach, swimming pool or Caribbean Sea. In the afternoon we have arranged for you to be brought by a driver to Cartagena.
This is a drive of about 4 hours near the coastline and through little villages so don´t forget to let your eyes feast on the beauty surrounding you.
By the early evening you will be dropped off at your hotel in the historical center of Cartagena.
The location of your accommodation is ideal and you will be close to the restaurants and the main touristic sights of this colonial city.

Today it is time to discover Cartagena. In the morning, you will take a tour to the Bazurto market or “the People’s Market” of Cartagena.
This special place is very animated and full of colors, interesting food, smells, and energies of the many vendors who sell their products at this market. You will get a real impression of the typical warmth of the people living at the Colombia’s coast.
It might feel a bit unorganized at the beginning, but it is the ultimate chance to see the real face of Cartagena and its people. In this a guided tour of 3,5 hours in English where you will be introduced to typical dishes, ingredients, fruits and vegetables from the region.
You will have your afternoon free, so you can discover and enjoy the gorgeous colonial old town of Cartagena on your own.

The last days of your time at the Caribbean coast of Colombia should be celebrated in style. At 08:30 you are brought to the harbor of Cartagena to take a speedboat to Isla Grande.
This is one of the many beautiful islands of the Rosario islands that are located at one hour navigating from the coast of Cartagena.
If besides relaxing at the beach you feel like doing some activities, you can take a birdwatching tour, a diving course, a snorkel or kayaking trip, a massage, or a walk through the mangroves.

Today you can choose how to spend your day. You can relax on the beach and enjoy your Caribbean paradise or consult the hotel for tours and activities.

You will spend the morning and the afternoon calmly on the island. Your boat trip back to Cartagena is scheduled for 15:00 which means that around 16:00 you will be back in the harbor and you will be transported to the hotel where you stayed the previous time.
The late afternoon and evening are free for you to keep discovering Cartagena.

You can spend the morning freely in Cartagena and visit all the touristic highlights you are still missing.
In the afternoon, you will be brought to the airport of Cartagena so you can take a flight back to Bogotá.
We will make sure you are transported to your hotel in Bogotá after arriving at the airport.

A driver will pick you up in the morning and bring you to precious Villa de Leyva. On your way to this cozy colonial town you will make a stop in Zipaquira where you will pay a visit to an impressive underground salt cathedral.
An English-speaking guide will show you around in this 120-meters deep salt mine that is decorated with crosses and statues made of salt.
Zipaquira is a 2-hours drive from Bogotá and from there it is another 2,5 hours to sleepy Villa de Leyva.
After arriving and settling down in your hotel, you can visit the biggest square of South America and walk around in the beautiful cobblestone streets of this white town.

In the morning, you will be picked up by an English-speaking guide. He will take you on a trip back in time to the prehistory of Villa de Leyva.
On your way you will learn where once the prehistoric sea was located and you will see weird rock formations and natural phenomena like Pozos Azules.
You will also visit a couple of museums that are dedicated to the study of the many fossils found in the region. One of them exhibits a giant Kronosaurus.
Furthermore, you will discover a museum about the colonial history of the area and a gorgeous working monastery. Additionally, you will visit “El Infiernito”, which is a sacred place for the local indigenous people.
At the end of the tour you will pay a visit to the Terracota house to see how local natural materials are used for house building.

Today it is your turn to take the lead in discovering Villa de Leyva and its mountainous surroundings.
The hotel has a spa, and Villa de Leyva itself has some beautiful small churches and museums.
