Archaeological Circuit
An absolute highlight of your trip to San Agustin will be this jeep tour to different burial sites a bit further located from San Agustin town.
Your guide will pick you up by 4×4 in the morning to start exploring the green surroundings of the town.
You will visit different archaeological sites, including the world famous site with the ´Doble-Yo´statue. Together with your guide you will walk around the sites and learn everything there is to know about the ancient and mysterious statues of San Agustin.
You won´t only go to burial sites but there will also be time foreseen to visit two beautiful waterfalls and go to the exact spot where the Magdalena river flows through her narrowest point.

San Agustin was declared a world heritage site in 1995. The archeological park displays gorgeous statues and burial set-ups. However, the surroundings of San Agustin are absolutely worth a visit as well because the archeological findings are still in situ and are well-hidden in the lush mountains.
